Fantastic Artwork this Week

ART Club has been ARTrageous!

We have 30 students participating in ART Club!  Students are learning the importance of sharing their gift of creativity and are working on Fall Posters to decorate the school campus. They should be up by the end of the week.

This week ----

PreK classes talked about the color green and created green caterpillars.

VPK cut out their "Blotter Bugs" and will finish them this week.  Kindergarten students used oil pastels to finish their "Color Fish".

First through fifth graders continued their study of Mark Durham and worked on their "Pet Portraits".

Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders began their "Pet Portraits"

FBCS Fabulous Artists!

It was Purple day in Ms. Donna's and Ms. Andrea's classes.  We ate purple grapes and painted a picture of purple grapes with our pointer fingers.

VPK had fun mixing primary colors to create "Blotter Bugs".

Kindergarteners were introduced to the artwork of Henri Matisse and used Elmer's glue to draw the outline for their fish.

First through fifth grade added watercolor paint to their "Pet Portraits".

The "Visual Journals" are headed home.  Each week sixth through eighth graders will be adding artwork pertaining to their Bible verses.

Another great week in Art Class!

Yellow Duck brought yellow lemonade for the PK students in Ms. Donna's and Ms. Andrea's class and  a picture of himself for the students to color.

VPK classes were visited by Mr. Primary and the students finger-painted in primary colors.

Kindergarten sang "dem bones" and drew a picture of a person from their head bone to their toe bones.

First through fifth graders began their pet portraits.  They will be painting with watercolor and adding details with markers.  Their clay pendants are hanging in the classroom and middle school hallway.  They look beautiful!  Please stop by and check them out.

Sixth through eighth graders have one more week to finish their "visual journals".  They are adding paper and will begin drawing pictures in them this week.
