PK students started a color unit. Each week we will study a new color and create a new page for our "color booklet". This week they learned about the color blue and finger painted "blue fish".
VPK had their first week of Art. They played the "Color Wheel Game" and we began our study on the primary colors.
Kindergarten began a study of artist Edgar Degas and his love to paint people in motion. We started working on our own people in motion, "Thumb Print People". Ask your students if they remember Mr. Degas' favorite thing to paint.
First through fifth grade are continuing to work on their "clay pendants". After forming a shape with Crayola Air Dry clay (http://www.amazon.com/Crayola-Air-Clay-Bucket-White/dp/B000J07LF8), students inserted a paperclip. Next, they used stamps to add designs and texture. After drying, they began painting their creations.
After cutting and shaping their cardboard covers, sixth through eighth graders began painting the covers of their "visual journals".
