This year we will be creating a "Recycled Stuff" art project. All students will be collecting small plastic things such as milk jug lids, pen caps, small unwanted plastic toys, etc for our creation.
PK will start out the year learning about color and creating a Color Book.
VPK will be working on an "Elements of Art" Book.
Kindergarten will begin with a study on Edgar Degas and create "Thumbprint people."
First - Fifth will be working with clay. After the clay project, students will learn about artist Mark Durham and create "Pet Portraits." For this project they will need a photograph of their pet or a photograph of a pet that they would like to have.
Middle School students will be creating a "Visual Journal" during the first few weeks of school. This journal will be used to create art that corresponds with their Bible lessons. Listed below are a few helpful internet sites for visual journals:
